Guild Wars Factions
Guild Wars Factions, the second campaign in the trilogy of Guild Wars. Each campaign has it' s own theme. Factions is an asian fantasy theme taking place in a old Chinese type era. This campaign is my second favorite, with Prophecies, the first campain, as my favorite campaign. I like this because in the other campains there isn't any an opposing side (faction) to choose from. This really livens things up. It's almost like two different games in one. It also makes the PvP (Player vs. Player) more interesting. It gives more maps and different types of PvP objectives. This is my second favorite campaign but it is not really for the beginner. In Factions the players level up alot faster and the game moves along a lot faster than the other campaigns. This makes it alot harder to get to know your character. So if you decide to play start out with Prophecies.

What is Guild Wars?
Guild wars is a game that one plays online, through connecting to the internet. If you have heard of a game called World of Warcraft then you would probably already understand the concept of these games. These games are called MMORPG's. This stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Everyone has heard of games such as Final Fantasy (well most Nerds). The idea is that you make an avatar (a persona of yourself) and make this character more powerful. You do so by killing things. You get experience and better items and these are usually in the form of quests. Where you have to go out and do a certain thing or kill a certain person etc.
I got hooked on this game about two years ago when it first came out, not intending to get hooked, but i did, from the first time I played it. This game takes you to and immense world that you could not experience otherwise. I think thats why people get addicted soo easily. You lose yourself in this rich environment where anyone can be anything! You may be a janitor at a local high school but in this game you could be a guild leader over hundreds of people and own cities and soo much more.
I find this a great game for all ages bacause there is no blood and for the most part the communtiy is pretty clean. For those that are wondering what I am talking about when I say "community" I am talking about the population of the game. When people play they all connect to the same game. They have to communicate with eachother, by getting groups togather or just talking to friends or guildies.

Guild Wars: Eye of The North
OMG Eye of the North!
DUN DUN DUN! This is a expansion to Guild Wars. It is going to be sweetish! From what I have been reading there are going to be a lot of changes with this expansion. This expansion is an actual expansion. It is going to add on to the three campains, Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. These campains are all seperate campains that are stand alone or can come togather from any of the other campains. Eye of the North is going to be and actual expansion on any of the three campains. This expansion is going to set everyone up for Guild Wars 2. It is going to introduce everyone to the new playable races as henchmen, which are NPC's that you can add to your group. Another cool thing they are adding is a trophy room to put all the titles, which are titles you earn from amazing or extremly hard feats, you have earned and will beable to switch them over to Guild Wars 2 when they realease it. They haven't said much more than that. There have been some hints of a higher level cap, which is good since the cap right now is 20. Although the level cap might not be raised until Guild Wars 2.
